Höll was published in 2001 and tells the story of Kristján Benediktsson who disappears from his home in Reykjavík and ends up as the private butler of newspaper magnate William R. Hearst.

Ólafur, who resides in New York City where he serves as the Executive Vice President of International and Corporate Strategy of Time Warner, has published a number of novels. This is the first time one of his works will be made into a television show. He insists he will not have a finger in adapting the book into a script.

“I won’t be writing the script, that task will be left to professional scriptwriters. But they might ask my opinion on things,” Ólafur told newsagent Vísir.
