According to Morgunblaðið, the truck’s three owners are experts on things fishy, having worked for years on marketing and selling Icelandic fish in England. Before opening the food truck, the trio underwent a comprehensive training course with the National Federation of Fish Friers, which works to promote and protect the interests of some 8500 fish and chip shops throughout the United Kingdom.

The food truck aims to serve proper fish and chips – the fish is bought directly from the trawler Arnar from Skagaströnd, North Iceland, while the fat for frying, the chips, mushy peas and vinegar are imported from England.

The food truck will be located at Vesturbugt between 11am and 9 pm and at Lækjartorg square from 10 pm.
