The Icelandic Coast Guard conducted a search and rescue mission after a local resident found an abandoned rental car in Borgarfjördur region yesterday morning. The foreigners using the rental car were feared to have gotten lost in the Icelandic wilderness, so a helicopter was dispatched to attempt to track down the missing tourists. Fortunately, the helicopter discovered the tent of the foreigner and his two compatriots, who were fast asleep and in no danger.
After learning there was no danger, the Helicopter returned to Reykjavik, and the foreigners went back to sleep.
