Scintilla, a first time participant in RFF, showcased a sugary collection where pastel colours reigned supreme. The brand, headed by designer Linda Björg Árnadóttir, is better known for its organic home collection and lounge wear, but has now added street wear to their range.
While Icelandic fashion is known for collections devoted to the colour black, Scintilla did not shy away from a colourful palette, making our melancholy and weather beaten hearts feel all warm and fuzzy. The collection was mostly made up from knitwear and comfortable jersey tops and dresses. In our opinion, the stand-out pieces were the graphic jumpers and the striped, oversized pants – in Scintilla’s case, beauty certainly does not mean pain.
