The most stunning sunset was visible from Reykjavík yesterday evening. The sun painted the evening sky a bright red colour, creating the most sensational backdrop when looking across to Snæfellsnes peninsula and Snæfellsjökull glacier in the north.

Photographer Hilmar Þór Guðmundsson watched the sunset with his two children, Auður Ísold and Jökull Þór, from Grótta and captured some amazing photos.
