The 2013 winner of Boladagur was Sindri Snær Jensson who wrecked havoc on Twitter during the event. He sent out around 700 tweets, which brought him three temporary suspensions from Twitter's authoreties.
However Sindri kept at it and at the end of the competition he had received answers or retweets from 37 celebrities, including former U.S. American actresses Sophia Bush, Jeri Ryan and Alyssa Milano, English footballers Matt le Tissier, Robbie Fowler and Ian Wright and Spanish football player Santiago Canizares. In addition he gained as followers Senegal football player Demba Ba and American golfer John Daly.
The 2012 Boladagur champion, Sigurður Mikael Jónsson, came in number two almost defending the title with a glorious Seinfeld hat trick receiving answers from the legendary show's three leading actors Jerry Seinfeld, Jason Alexander and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
Last year's honorary award was dished out to Helgi Arason for his amusing contribution. He tweeted to the stars a photo of himself wearing a tiny Superman briefs, understandably raising a few eyebrows (see below).
@TheEllenShow Heard you needed a male model to advertise your mens underwear line. Here is my application. #Boladagur pic.twitter.com/4yxK3oXaaS
