Radio Television of Ireland looks into the aftermath of Icelandic banking crisis 354

Ireland and Iceland had two of the world’s biggest banking crisis in recent times, but dealt with it in two very different ways. Unlike Ireland, Iceland did not save its banks and burnt all its bondholders.  

RTÉ journalist David Murphy visited Iceland in March in order to find out how Iceland has fared in the years following the crash. He interviewed musician Einar Tönsberg, estate agent Vilhjálmur Bjarnason, MP Birgitta Jónsdóttir of the Pirate Party and Iceland’s prime minister among others.
