QuizUp is the fasted growing smartphone game in history. The game was created by Plain Vanilla Games, an Icelandic gaming studio founded by Þorsteinn B. Friðriksson and based in Reykjavík and San Francisco.
The Google project involved using aerial photographs from Google Maps as questions in the QuizUp game.
The Webby Award is an annual award for excellence on the Internet which began in 1995. This year’s award ceremony takes place in Los Angeles on May 19th.
