Baktus the cat is somewhat of a celebrity in down town Reykjavík. The black tomcat was a regular guest at Stofan café for some time where he would lounge about and enjoy the occasional pat or cuddle. But no longer. A complaint was filed to the Department of Public Health and this put an end to the friendly cat’s visits to the café.
Baktus now spends his days sitting outside Stofan, which is situated by Ingólfstorg square, that’s when he is not busy roaming between neighbouring shops, restaurants and even kindergartens.
