Primary school teachers have been without a contract for approximately two years, but were temporarily banned from going on strike until negotiations would start. It was important for teachers to reach an agreement before a 24-hour strike that was scheduled for today.
The next step is to introduce the contracts to primary school teachers who will then vote for or against before the end of the month. If majority votes for, the new contracts will be implied, but if the majority votes against, it’s back to the negotiating table.
