Glacier Goodies, which strives to offer fast food prepared with local ingredients, will return to Skaftafell at the foot of Vatnajökul glacier this summer, the local news site visir.is reports. According to Visir the head chef of the cart, Stefán Þór Arnarson, is currently preparing the summer, including a new summer menu. “We try to offer foods prepared with ingredients from the realm of Vatnajökull glacier, personal service and honest food.”

Skaftafell is the site of one of the most popular camping areas in South Iceland, offering numerous hiking trails and a visitor centre. The cart, which opened for the first time last summer, services the many visitors and campers in the park. More than 400,000 people visited Skaftafell last year.
According to Stefán Þór the cart will be opening in mid-May, and remain open until September.
