The Metropolitan Police has issued a warning, advising local girls who receive offers of modeling jobs from a Canadian company to contact the police. A police spokesman told the Icelandic National Broadcasting Service RÚV that there is suspicion the company, which has not been identified publicly, is in fact trying to lure young girls into prostitution.
There are questions about what the company is actually engaged in and what it is doing here. We are asking all girls who have received offers of modeling jobs in Canada to investigate the offers thoroughly and the company making the offers or any people who might have contacted them.
