Plans to construct a 300-room hotel by Skógafoss waterfall have been completely revoked, reports Vísir. However, construction of the hotel could take place at another location in the Skógar area.
“An agreement could not be reached with local residents. In such a delicate and beautiful area as Skógar, it’s important that everyone is happy and on board with development plans,” said Ósólfur Gylfi Pálmarsson, chairman of Rangárþing eystra.
