A design competition for the area is scheduled to take place soon.
“By moving the camping site and guest lodge we hope to regain Landmannalaugar as it was before, and by that I mean the beauty and tranquillity of the place,” explained Kristinn Guðnason, a member of the committee which oversees future planning of the area, in an interview with Channel 2 News yesterday.
