Photos: Hraunfossar waterfall in West Iceland is even more beautiful in winter 5970

One of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland are Hraunfossar, located in West Iceland. The waterfall is actually a series of small waterfalls formed by water streaming out of the Hallmundarhraun lava field into Hvítá river. Right next to Hraunfossar is another beautiful waterfall, Barnafoss, created where the river pushes through a narrow gorge.

The photographs below, shared on the Facebook page of the local tour company Into the Glacier, which offers various tours into the Langjökull ice tunnel, show that Hraunfossar and Barnafoss are just as spectacular in the winter as summer!
