Yesterday a group of three French adventurers upped the ante quite considerably at Jökulsárgljúfur canyon in North East Iceland. The men crossed the 45 meter deep canyon on tightrope, the thundering Dettifoss waterfall on their right hand side. Bjarni Karlsson, a Park Ranger in Vatnajökull National Park watched the men perform the incredible stunt, capturing the event on camera.

Bjarni told the local news site Vísir that the three men had secured all necessary permits as well as having all necessary safety measures in place. The men are part of a 12 person group which is traveling in the Arctic region, having just come from Greenland on their way back to France. Bjarni shared a photo of the amazing feat on Facebook.
