Peter Dinklage reveals that the Mountain once ate seven whole chickens for dinner 2684

The talented Peter Dinklage was Jon Stewart’s guest on the Daily Show where he spoke about Game of Throne’s fifth season. Peter, who plays Tyrion Lannister on the popular HBO series, mentioned a surreal dinner experience he shared with his co-star, Icelandic strongman Hafþór Júlíusson, who plays the Mountain.

“I got to eat dinner with him one night in Croatia and he (Hafþór) ordered seven chickens. He ate seven chickens – whole chickens,” the actor told the audience. Adding: “He’s an amazingly lovely guy. He lifts stones.”

Jon then asked about Hafþór’s most recent accomplishment: breaking a 1,00 year old record by carrying a log weighing 600 kilos (1323 lbs) for five steps, thus becoming the World’s Strongest Viking.

 “He broke a 1,400 year old strength record by lifting a 30 foot tree trunk and carrying it to a 7/11 … does he just pick things up like a Flintstones character on the set?” the host asked.

To which Peter replied: “I think you got to pay him. He’s probably sick of doing it.”
