Inhabitants of Akureyri and other towns in Eyjafjörður fjord, North Iceland, can expect heavy pollution from the Holuhraun eruption tonight. According to the Icelandic Met Office's (IMO) interactive map tonight's air quality will be at the lowest point between 18 (6pm) and midnight.
IMO reports that tomorrow the the pollution will travel to the west and northwest coastal areas and in the evening it will reach the coastal areas in the southwestern part of the country.
