Landowners have installed a parking meter in the parking lot by popular tourist spot Seljalandsfoss waterfall in South Iceland. The meter will be put into use shortly.
According to local news site Mbl.is, the landowners have been planning on starting to charge for parking for a while. They have recently started major development of the site to respond to an increasing number of visiting tourists.
To minimize the visual effect of the meter, it is made from columnar basalt.
