A four-crew row-boat left the Faroe Islands on Sunday morning headed for the East Coast of Iceland.
According to mbl.is, the crew on Auður oceanic row-boat left Kristianssand in Norway and headed to the Faroe Islands in May 2013, but due to bad weather conditions they were unable to complete their trip to Iceland before the winter.
After taking off yesterday, the row to Iceland is expected to take one week – if everything goes according to plan. The final destination in Iceland depends on weather and winds, but the crew plans on completing their journey in either Höfn in Hornarfjörður Fjord or Djúpivogur Bay.
The boat’s route can be tracked in real-time here.
