One of Reykjavík International Film Festival's (RIFF) standout events this year is when acclaimed and somewhat notorious director Hrafn Gunnlaugsson screens his classic Viking saga, When The Raven Flies (1984), at his home at Laugarnes, Reykjavík.
Afterwards there will be a Q&A session with the director and a tour of his amazing home, which is part Viking film museum, part exotica themed park. The event is bound to attract a full house. September 28th.
RIFF will kick off for the eleventh consecutive year on September 25. Every year, RIFF is ripe with 100 fiction films and documentaries, numerous talks and Q&A's, cinematic concerts and special presentations in the swimming pool or at your favourite Icelandic celebrity's house. The festival spans eleven days, September 25th to October 5th with RIFF Industry Days covering the space of four days, October 1st to 4th.
