Travellers should make the most of the weather, as the Icelandic Meteorological Office is predicting that by tomorrow we will most likely be seeing a replay of yesterday's storm which shut down the Ring Road in South Iceland between Seljalandsfoss waterfall and the village Vík.

No weather alert has been issued for tomorrow, but according to the forecast we should expect to see strong gales along the south coast, from the foothills of Öræfajökull glacier and the Öræfi region (between Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon and Skaftafell visitor center in Vatnajökull National Park), west to the foothills of Eyjafjallajökull.

The longer term forecast sees a continuation of the cold weather and snowfall over the weekend.
