More snow is expected to fall all over the country during the next days. City Service workers began to clear streets of snow at 4 am this morning. Most of Reykjavík’s major roads are clear of snow and neighbourhood streets are set to be clear later today.
Police advice people to drive carefully today and to show patience as they can expect a slow commute to and from work due to the snow.
A strong gale warning is in effect in the Westfjords and Strandir region tonight. The weather is expected to be calm in other parts of the country.
