New webcam at Holuhraun, facing east 2062

We have a new angle on the Holuhraun eruption via webcam provided by weather station maintenance company M og T. The new webcam is located northwest of the new lava field and is facing to the east.

Here is a link to other Holuhraun webcams. Please keep in mind that the visibility depends on weather in the area. It’s been decent today.

According to the Icelandic Met Office (IMO) the eruption continues at the same pace as for the last few days.

IMO reports that ten earthquakes between magnitude M3 and M4 have been detected in Bárðarbunga caldera in the last 24 hours. The largest quake was M4 and hit yesterday at 16.09 (4.09pm). Altogether more earthquakes were detected in the big sub-glacial caldera in the last 24 hours than in the previous days.
