The poll was conducted by Gallup Iceland in collaboration with Isavia, which manages Keflavík International Airport and the Icelandic Tourist Board. The poll, which was being conducted for the first time, reveals several interesting things about the experience of foreign travelers in Iceland, the manager of Gallup Iceland tells RÚV.
“The highest ratings are given by visitors from Australia, 89, while visitors from the Nordic countries give the experience in Iceland a rather low rating. Perhaps this can be explained by their experience in coming to Iceland is not as dramatic as the experience of people who come from further away, and perhaps their experience with the landscape is different?”
The poll also revealed that visitors in March gave Iceland a slightly higher rating than those visiting in February. The explanation could be that the weather in March was significantly better than in February.
