American indie rock band Neutral Milk Hotel will perform in Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavik on August 20th 2014.
The band's best known and most critically acclaimed album is In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, released in 1998 and selling more than 300.000 copies. Later that year the band stopped playing and recording together. Last year it announced a reunion with the In the Aeroplane Over the Sea lineup, featuring Jeff Mangum, Scott Spillane, Julian Koster, and Jeremy Barnes.
Among artists influenced by Neutral Milk Hotel are Franz Ferdinand, Arcade Fire and Bon Iver.
The band will tour North America and Europe for most of 2014.
Ticket sales opens on Saturday 5th of April at 12pm on in Harpa ticket office and at www.harpa.is. Support act will be announced later.
