Music festival in an old fish factory 754

Bræðslan Music Festival the village of Borgarfjörður Eystri continues to be one of the most popular events every year in Iceland with tickets having sold-out months ago.

This is the tenth time the people of Borgarfjörður Eystri throw this festival together, but we’ve got a hunch they’ll do it again next year and now that you’re in the know, you’ll be getting your tickets in a timely manner in 2015. Most guests put up a tent on the camping grounds, but those who are quick enough to book (never too early to book a year in advance, eh?) reserve the rooms at the hotels and guesthouses in the area.

The main event, each year, is a big concert on Saturday night, but whilst you may have missed your chance to get tickets to the main event, you can still enjoy the festival by attending smaller events leading up to Saturday. Bands and musicians performing this year include Pollapönk, Emiliana Torrini, and Lára Rúnars

The road to Borgarfjörður Eystri is not paved the whole way so drivers are asked to be careful and keep in mind that Iceland has two fjords called Borgarfjörður, so be aware Borgarfjörður and Borgarfjörður Eystri is not the same place.
