Apple Music has a new ad that features a song by Icelandic musician Ólafur Arnalds. The ad stars Kenny Chesney, an American country music singer and songwriter, and was released in the U.S. on Wednesday. Ólafur admits that the end-result was somewhat different to what he’d anticipated.
“When they told me they wanted to use my song for the new Apple commercial, this was not what I had in mind,” the musician tweeted on Wednesday.
Ólafur has garnered attention following his 2014 BAFTA-win and his music has been featured in films such as Hunger Games and Another Happy Day. Ólafur won a BAFTA Television Craft Awards in the category Best Original Music for his work on the soundtrack of ITV’s hugely popular series “Broadchurch”.
