Museum dedicated to the Icelandic horse set to open in Hveragerði, South Iceland 1537

Hveragerði town council has allotted a vacant plot of land for a museum dedicated to the Icelandic horse, reports Vísir.

The town’s mayor Aldís Hafsteinsdóttir is fond of the idea and believes the museum is destined to become a hit among local and international tourists.  

Iceland’s first equestrian theatre opened in February 2014 and is situated midways between Hveragerði and Selfoss on the south coast of Iceland.
