Icelandic musician Mugison will perform a series of concerts in Kassinn at the National Theatre in Reykjavík (Þjóðleikhúsið) this summer. The talking in between songs will be “96 % in English”, according to the musician.
The idea of doing concerts in English arose some time ago when Mugison was complaining about having to spend so much time apart from his young family when on tour. His sister, who works for a travel agency, suggested he find a venue in Reykjavík instead and perform for foreign guests in Iceland.
Mugison has been actively creating music since 2003 and won numerous local awards for his work.
The hour-long concerts begin at 8.30 pm and the entrance fee is 25 Euros (3,500 ISK).
