The remnants of Hurricane Chris are heading our way, pushing a rainy weather front ahead of it. The IMO is expecting heavy rain tonight, Friday and Saturday evening, Sunday morning. Next week the IMO is telling us there will sunshine, before the rain starts again.
If we are lucky we might see the eight actual summer day of this year on Monday. A meteorologist with the IMO told the local newspaper Morgunblaðið that tonight's rain will probably not be accompanied by a storm. So, that's comforting: The weather could be worse!

It is no secret that summer has been postponed indefinitely in Reykjavík: May and June were both historically rainy and overcast, with only seven days of sunshine. Meteorologists have told us the reason is the unusually warm and dry weather over the British Isles. Now our neighbors to the East are also sending us rain, as North America is sending over a second hand hurricane.
Since asking nicely doesn't seem to work, we at Iceland Insider are now considering legal action against the UK and the US to cease and deists from any further weather, hurricane and rain related activities against us in Iceland: Please stop hogging the sunshine and stop sending us rain and hurricanes. We demand some weather re-distribution in the Northern Hemisphere!
