Police say that the young French woman who went missing in Iceland arrived here alone on a one way ticket. Investigators are sifting through information from the public after police asked for assistance in the search.
The 22 year old Louise Soreda has not been seen since security cameras picked her up on arrival at Keflavík National Airport on July the 5th. Her family has not seen or heard from her for nine days.
Inquiry from Interpol two days after arrival
The search began when Interpol sent an inquiry to Icelandic police two days after she arrived here, according to local news site Vísir. Police say they have no information on whether Soreda has any connections to Iceland.
Soreda was dressed in blue jeans, brown hiking boots and a white sweater on arrival to Iceland. Along with her, she had a red backpack with a grey folding mattress.
Additionally, police describe her as having long dark hair but with a single light lock of hair.
Suffering from depression
Soreda's aunt told Vísir yesterday that her niece has been suffering from depression. She apparently turned off her phone and left her home without a word. The family fears the worst.
