Minor Holuhraun volcanic pollution expected in Reykjavík 2235

Volcanic pollution from Holuhraun is expected southwest of the eruption site today (Monday) according to the Icelandic Met Office (IMO). The sulfur dioxide pollution could reach the capital but at a low level. Air quality in populated areas should remain good.

Tomorrow (Tuesday) gas pollution is expected south and southwest of the eruption site in the central highlands.
