Met Office warns of heavy winds in South and West Iceland tomorrow, Thursday 1653

The day will start out dry and sunny, particularly in the north and east. Some snow showers and a light easterly breeze may be expected along the south coast until late afternoon. Maximum temperature 2 degrees Celsius (35 Fahrenheit) in Vestmannaeyjar islands, South Iceland.

Winds will pick up in the southern regions again tomorrow, Thursday, with gusts of 20 m/s (45 mph). The north will remain sunny and calm.  Maximum temperature 4 degrees Celsius (39 Fahrenheit) in the southwest.

According to the Icelandic Met Office, the weekend is likely to be wet with some heavy showers in the south and west.
