Members of the Ram Society Örvar are currently touring the country. With them is a stuffed ram that goes by the name of Gorbatsjoff (named after Mikhail Gorbachev, former leader of the Soviet Union) that belongs to Guðni Ágústsson, a honorary member of the Ram Society Örvar and former Minister of Agriculture.
The club was founded in 1999 by a group of farmers and its goal is to preserve and strengthen Iceland’s cultural heritage.
According to Mbl.is the tour will come to an end on Saturday (October 4) when the Great Ram Day is celebrated in Raufarhöfn, East Iceland.
