Páll Valur Björnsson, a member of parliament for Björt framtíð, wants to move Iceland’s mean time back by one hour. The MP presented his proposal for the parliament last week.

According to Páll Valur Iceland has wrongly been using summer time all year around since 1968. He claims Iceland’s current time is not in harmony with the country’s geological position and believes this inconsistency negatively impacts the nation’s health and can cause seasonal depression and sleep disturbance among teenagers.
