Shop Show is an event that takes place in Hafnarborg Museum in connection with DesignMarch, an annual design festival held in Reykjavík. The festival features over hundred exhibitions, workshops and other events over the period of four days.
Shop Show exhibits Nordic contemporary design with emphasis on nature, traceability and the connection between production and consumption. On Friday and Sunday the public is given a chance to converse with up-and-coming designers who participate in Shop Show. The event begins at 12.30pm on Friday when the Swedish product designer and curator Petra Lilja will guide guests around the exhibition.
On Sunday Brynhildur Pálsdóttir, one of the founders and designers of Icelandic design company Vík Prjónsdóttir, designer Róshildur Jónsdóttir and product designer Snæbjörn Stefánsson will explain the concept behind their innovative design. The event begins at 3pm.
Hafnarborg Museum is located on Strandagata 34 in the town of Hafnarfjörður.
