'Me and My Mother' opens in i8 Gallery 2948

The exhibition ‘Me and My Mother’, by artist Ragnar Kjartansson, has opened in i8 Gallery.

Ragnar was born into a family of actors and ‘Me and My Mother’ is an ongoing video collaboration with his mother, actress Guðrún Ásmundsdóttir, where she repeatedly spits in his face. The first video was created in 2000, the second in 2005, and the third in 2010.

Ragnar represented Iceland at the 55th Venice Biennale in 2013 and has held numerous exhibitions all over the world.

‘Me and My Mother’ runs from 11th of June and until the 22nd of August. Gallery i8 is located at Tryggvagata 16.
