An omelette cooking competition is set to take place tomorrow, Saturday, in Harpa Conference Hall at 11am. Dagur B. Eggertsson, mayor of Reykjavík, Gísli Einarsson, television reporter, and Áslaug Snorra will compete for the title ‘Best omelette’.
The omelettes are made from Icelandic chicken eggs, known as landnámshænuegg in Icelandic, and other ingredients supplied by Búrið delicatessen store.
Taking place in Harpa at the same time is Búrið‘s fifth artisan food market. Over forty farmers, fishermen and artisan producers will showcase their products during the weekend. The market takes place between 11 am and 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
