In celebration of Sumardagurinn fyrsti, the first day of summer according to the old, Norse calendar, Loft Hostel has organised a lovely food market in cooperation with Krás Food Market.

The summer celebrations begin at 1pm tomorrow, Thursday, when restaurants Bergsson Mathús, Ramen Momo, the Coocoo’s Nest and Dons Donuts kick off the summer’s first street-food market. Early birds can wash down the tasty grub with free fruit beer from Sólbert.
But that’s merely the start!
The fun will continue through the weekend: On Friday Mr. Silla and Teitur will perform for guests, and on Saturday designer Ása Ninna Pétursdóttir will host a clothing market.
Friday’s concert begins at 8pm and entrance is free of charge. The clothing market begins at 1pm on Saturday.
