Icelandic fisherman Eysteinn Örn Garðarsson got more than he bargained for when he caught a gigantic cod last Friday, reports Vísir.is.
The massive catch tipped the scales at 50 kilogrammes (110 lb) and Eysteinn Örn described the event as “winning the lottery”.
“I’ve been a fisherman for sixteen years and this is the largest fish I’ve caught. I’m very proud,” he explains.
After being weighed and photographed the gigantic cod was brought to land and cured.
“It’ll end up like every other fish: On a dinner plate,” Eysteinn concludes.
