Recent statistics from the Icelandic Tourist Board reveal that Brits and Americans tend to stop for shorter visits, spending most of their time in Reykjavík and the southwest.
According to the National Broadcasting Service, RÚV, local businesses are pleased with the increase of U.S tourists, who are considered quite pleasant.
“They are lovely. Most of the time they are quite pleasant and very talkative,” Stefanía Bergsdóttir, who works at 66 North on Bankastræti, downtown Reykjavík, told RÚV.
