Today at 18:00 Churchbells around Iceland will toll for the beginning of Christmas. At the same time many Icelanders will be going to mass to listen to partake in the Christmas Eve Evensong, The National State Broadcasting Service has broadcast the evensong on the radio to those who can't make it to church, sailors who are out at sea, farmers at isolated farmsteads or everyone who is still at home, busy making last minute prerations.
But now the Christmas Evensong is available to everyone around the world, through our live stream of the mass at Grafarvogskirkja church in Reykjavík. The servicing pastor is sr. Guðrún Karls Helgudóttir.
The service begins at 18:00 Icelandic time, so be sure to tune in!
