The 12th RIFF takes place in Reykjavík between 24th of September and the 4th of October. The festival showcases a wide range of dramas and non-fiction films from over forty countries. It also holds a number of special events taking place all over the city, including a swim-in cinema, drive-in cinema, a film screening deep inside a cave, and an interesting children’s programme.
This year‘s honorary guest is Canadian filmmaker David Cronenberg who will host a masterclass on the 30th of September and answer questions about his work. Cronenberg is considered one of the principal originators of what is commonly known as the body horror genre.
