The Reykjavík Dance Festival began yesterday, Wednesday, and will continue through the weekend. The festival was founded by artists in 2002 and has since grown into an exciting annual art event, including workshops, forums, and parties.

Alexander Roberts and Ásgerður Gunnarsdóttir took over as the festival’s artistic directors in 2014, and proceeded to make some radical changes to the festival’s arrangement, most notably splitting it into four smaller festivals taking place at different times during the year.
