New York born artist Lawrence Weiner opens a new exhibition in downtown Reykjavík gallery i8 this Thursday, October 16th. Weiner has made fifty special versions af a mass-produced fish tub (see photo), used for commercial fishing around Iceland. The tubs will be distributed between fisheries and used in the coming years. Additionally, there are ten numbered and signed editions shown in the gallery.
Three large wall works occupy the gallery space along with new works on paper.

The opening is between 17 and 19 (5-7pm) on Thursday. The exhibition is until November 29th.
