The Landsbankinn Bank was the target of an armed robbery shortly after noon today, Wednesday.
According to Vísir, two men armed with handguns entered a Landsbankinn Bank on Borgartún road in central Reykjavík and demanded money.
Witnesses said the men were extremely agressive and caused severe damage to furniture. An employee handed the suspects an undetermined amount of cash, and the two men fled the scene. The incident occurred at around 1.30 pm.
The bank has been closed and employees and witnesses have received proper help.
