DesignMarch, an annual design festival held in Reykjavík each March, is soon upon us. As in previous years, the event kicks off with DesignTalks, a day of lectures by leading local and international designers.

Lauren Bowker, a textile designer and chemistry graduate from Manchester Metropolitan University who designs clothing that changes colour depending on climate and movement, is among the Design Talk’s key speakers this year. Other speakers include innovator Maria Guidice, internationally acclaimed architect Maria Lisogorskaya, Tom Loosemore, founder of the UK's Government Digital Service, and British graphic designer, filmmaker and typographer Jonathan Barnbrook.

DesignMarch features over one hundred exhibitions, workshops, and other events over a period of four days. Its aim is to showcase local design and build connections between local and international designers and companies.
