Join a high-tech séance in the Westfjords 3153

8. apr 2015 14:05

The Westfjords have long been associated with the paranormal. Whether it is sightings of supernatural beings, like sea-cows, or accusations of witchcraft, the Westfjords have always been the centre of paranormal activity in Iceland. Now a group of internationally known mediums will attempt to connect to the ether and the beyond in a séance at the Holt peace-centre in Önundafjörður bay in the Westfjords. The séance will be held on August 19.

High tech and international experts
The séance will be led by no less than eighteen international mediums from Denmark, England and Norway. The group is travelling in Iceland, along with local medium Júlíana Torfhildur Jónsdóttir, who has received considerable local media attention for her Facebook séances.

The séance at Holt will also take the most recent technology into its use, as the mediums will attempt to contact those who have passed away to the next level with high tech gadgetry. According to Bæjarins Bestu, a local news service in the Westfjords, the group will be using a special camera to capture portraits of the people who have passed away.

The group of mediums will be staying in Holt for several days and they plan on offering courses for the general public during their stay.

But, you really don't need otherworldly reasons to visit the Westfjords!
To us at Iceland Insider this seems like an excellent opportunity for anyone who believes it is possible to contact the world beyond and those who have passed. At the same time we also believe you don’t need supernatural reasons to visit the Westfjords: the very real nature of the area should be a reason enough to go.
