Actor Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson is currently in Budapest, Hungary, filming scenes for the movie The Coldest City, also starring Charlize Theron, James McAvoy and John Goodman.
The film, directed by David Leitch, is based on a novel by Anthony Johnston and tells the story of an MI6 agent who is sent to Berlin during the Cold War to investigate the murder of a fellow agent.

“I play a character named Yuri Bakhtin. I hope he doesn’t end up on the cutting room floor. A fellow Icelander, Elísabet Ronaldsdóttir, has a lot to say about that because she’ll be editing the film,” Jóhannes Haukur jokingly told the National Broadcasting Service.
The actor has been actively working in theatre, film and television since and films since graduating with a BFA degree in acting from the Iceland Academy of Arts in 2005.
